My name is August Miller, I'm a one-man-band recording artist. Which is a fancy way of saying I make music sometimes. Regrettably, I also have thoughts & opinions about songs — that's what this blog is for. If you're curious about the nitty gritty of making music, or 70s rock trivia knowledge, or just want to know what I'm listening to, you're in the right place.

My goal with this blog project is two fold: shameless self-promotion, obviously. But also to help folks not make the same mistakes I've made, make better music, and foster a sense of community. I especially want to target folks like me, the weeknight warriors who do this for fun, the solo artist looking for help and inspiration. But anyone and everyone is welcome. Hopefully the advice is helpful.
